You are not one who is poor in any way at all
And your biggest worries to some would seem rather small
Never short of food and with a comfortable bed to sleep in every night
Compared to many for yourself in life you are doing all right
Yet like many far too many for one for to name
You too are one who does yearn for great wealth and fame
Why is it for so many of us our dreams are linked to material success
And others with our achievements we wish to impress
Most of those with unfulfilled life dreams grow old in unhappiness
Since life by far is the greatest gift we do possess
And despite your life successes and the admirers you have won
The greatest gift you have belongs to everyone
With a nice bed to sleep in you never have gone hungry for a day
So what have you got to complain about anyway.
