An Incurable Romantic

Though no woman did lay claim to him as her man
He remains an incurable romantic the ageing grey haired Dan
Though he has had many lovers in his long life
He never has asked any woman for to become his wife
Had he proposed marriage to some of his ex lovers they would have said yes
But marriage he realized with him would not be a success
Since he was always falling in love with somebody new
And of love affairs in his life he has had more than a few
Since a workplace accident in his mid fifties he spends his days in a wheelchair
Though you never hear him say that life is unfair
In his early seventies growing old on his own
Of far better days of in life he has known
Since his accident he is unable to have sex which does pain him to say
But as the incurable romantic he does fall in love every day.
