Just Another Written Anti War Rant

It is out of war leaders and soldiers many heroes are made
And more to be young heroes to the war cause are enlisted in every street war parade
Many impressionable young minds look on war as a good thing
And the praises of their war heroes feel so proud to sing

Why don't those war loving people and politicians leave their dead heroes to rest in peace
From war and it's suffering they have found their release
By their so called patriotic political leaders they were misled
They fought for a flag and they ended up dead

I know a good and peaceful man as a war protester he has been in jail
Though now in his eighties to attend any local anti war rally he never does fail
Though a good and an honourable man his name will never appear on a memorial wall
Is our thinking on war in need of a good overhaul?

In impressionable young minds hatred is not hard to instil
Young men go to war for their Country to kill
But those who to them are the enemy think of them in the same way
This is why so many heroes in cemeteries lay

That war leads to peace is based on a lie
In a World where many anti war people as traitors do die
You may say that my views on this does have their own slant
And dismiss it as just another written anti war rant.
