The Great Gift Of Memory

For as long as the gift of memory we retain
Mental images of our past in us does remain
And wherever we go to our memories with us go along
Like the words in an old unforgettable song
Though the bad memories live in us with some regret
Much to our disappointment them we cannot forget
But overall the great gift of memory is a wonderful thing
And every happy memory a smile to the face always bring
Those who lose their gift of memory do not have a past
So feel grateful if your gift of memory in you does last
In you until your last night and day
Since the gift of memory with everyone is not known to stay
Feel lucky if  a good memory you do retain
