Those Lacking In Money

Those lacking in money are lacking in power
The weed of the garden cannot be a flower
Humans beings like the flora too seen in this way
The poor are the ignored of the Human World of today

This COV I D-19 we read of and hear so much about
That to human populations it can be quite lethal does go without doubt
It is said from a bat to humans it has spread
And many who have contracted it are already dead

The lives lost to COVID-19 are worthy of  lament
But it is only in wealthy Countries that money to fight it in large amounts is spent
The theory that all people are equal is based on a lie
In pandemics it is mostly the poor who will die

In East Africa the damage to crops by plague locusts will come at a huge cost
Far more lives there than to COVID-19 to malnutrition will be lost
They are poor and seen as the weeds of the garden so they cannot be flowers
But the blood in their veins it does flow red like ours

This put things in perspective would you not agree
We are lucky to be living in this wealthy Country
Though it is true that the weed of the garden cannot be a flower
And those who have money are those who have power.
