At Moyjil

Overlooking where the Hopkins River into the Pacific does flow
Of the history of Moyjil would anyone know
At the bluehole Australia's first people fished centuries ago
But that time with it brings changes happens to be so
Moyjil near Warrnambool is a sacred place
To the Gundijtmara people the south west's first race
Even time to Moyjil change new people did bring
Though change is not always that good a thing
Even few indigenous south west people visit Moyjil today
Most links to the past in time slowly fade away
But the white surf waves roll onto the bluehole's brown sandy shore
On a sscene destined to live on forever more
In Moyjil a beautiful place at any time of year
The rolling of the white waves familiar to hear.
