Old Bill

Old Bill says that life with him is okay
He will be eighty four on the fourth day of May
For one of his years he looks rather well
And of his life he has many stories to tell

Twenty years ago divorced by Kathy his wife
Who says falling in love with and marrying him a mistake in her life
Though in her early eighties she is happily married today
That she has found real love at last it does seem this way

Children, grandchildren and great grandchildren is all with Bill she now does share
Though she used to love him until she became aware
That he had many women lovers on the side
Which was a deep hurt to her feelings and pride

For an octogenarian sexually promiscuous of lovers he has a few
But chatting up women with him nothing new
The passing of time has not weakened his sexual drive
The libido in him is well and alive

Though many Seasons past his physical prime
I see him in the park from time to time
Always with one different and younger walking hand in hand
Why Kathy divorced him one can understand.
