Though never to be one to the literary fore
I just enjoy writing rhymes and little else more
With rhyming words one who just loves for to play
And i add to my numbers of them every day
I would be better known and wealthier and more famous by far
As a song writing musician strumming on my guitar
On stage in the local public bar in the hour of song
A paid to entertain leader in the pub sing along
Paid for what he loves doing but just the same
I do not begrudge him his entertainment wages for fame
But what he so enjoys doing does not appeal to me
It is each to their own is how it seems to be
But i love writing rhymes of this i won't lie
And i hope to be doing it until the day i do die.
