For Our Own Benefits

For our own benefits her assets we use
Mother Earth who feeds us many of us does abuse
She is the one who supports all
Life forms including humans from the great to the small
Many of us humans to her not a friend
Yet on our existence on her we depend
So many do use her for their own gain
Greed is a thing beyond me to explain
Without her we could not hope for to live
Yet we take and take from her and in return to her nothing give
Due to our abuse of the natural environment many creatures have become extinct
Such bad behaviour to environmental vandalism can be linked
Our Earth Mother is the one who does feed all life forms from the great to the small
On our abuse of her we have nothing to feel proud of at all.
