At Park Lake Pertobe

A grey and sunless morning has turned out to be a nice day after all
Towards the end of March in the Southern Fall
The evening quite sunny is not too warm or too cool
In Park Lake Pertobe in the City of Warrnambool
The moorhens and swamphens grazing by the lake
In size and appearance from each other them one could not mistake
In near to perfect weather temperatures close to twenty degrees
The pleasant warbling of the magpies is carrying in the freshening breeze
That blow across the park from nearby Lady Bay
How nice to be out and about on such a nice day

Nature's own beauty in the parks of the big town
At a time of year when the leaves on the deciduous trees are turning to brown
As food for crawling insects by their mother trees some of them on the ground
In all of Nature's Seasons natural beauty does abound
Everywhere one turns to look there is beauty to see
And the beauty in Nature to view it is free
From Park Lake Pertobe on this nice Autumn day
Earthly Utopia it cannot be that far away.
