Time Does Not Wait

A minority become wealthy celebrities and many remain unsung
And some live to die old and some do die young
At the stroke of midnight today will be of the past
And time does not wait it keeps on ticking fast
The news headlines of today become future history
We only have memories of what used to be
That no one lives forever only true to say
For all of us there is this last night and day
The longest lived human life in time not a long span
On average a few years more for a woman than it is for a man
Treat everyone as you would like them to treat you
To live as a good person is the best you can do
Eventually we all become victims of time
And for me too in life there will be a last rhyme.
