Some Way To Go

People have walked on the surface of the moon
And Mars it is said due for a visit soon
But people on Planet Earth have not learned to live in harmony
And many are born to live in poverty
Despite human successes to humanity there is a darker side
Harmony between different races is not Worldwide
Between people there remains a religious, a cultural and a racial divide
That in some of our thinking we lack in tolerance and understanding cannot be denied
That us humans have made giant steps on most things only true to say
But due to war many people are dispossessed  in the World of today
And for our greed for our Earth Mother's treasures we bring about Climate Change
That we choose to abuse the one who feeds us does seem rather strange
Despite our many successes we are our own greatest foe
In the love of our Earth Mother and each other we still have some way to go.
