Grey cockatoos the males with red on the head and the face
Quite distinctive in appearance from other cockatoos of a similar race
Parrots that are not anywhere near to plentiful one does not see them every day
But their appearance and voice to their identity a give away
Some eucalypt leaves to them a tasty treat
And Seasonal fruits such as berries and haws they too like to eat
Their calls rather squeaky like the opening of a rusty gate
And not very hard for to imitate
High in a cavity of an old tree
The female lay white eggs of two or three
Once seen and once heard memories of them with you will remain
And them you will recognize when you hear and see them again
Birds i know of but seldom hear or see
Their voices and appearance a strong clue to their identity.
