The breath that sustains life from his body has gone
But far beyond his homeplace in Selby memories of him will live on
Darcy Duggan is grieved by his children and grandchildren and Elizabeth his wife
A gentle, kind and honourable man he was one who loved life
In Selby and places beyond there he had many a friend
And sad to learn his life journey for him has come to an end
A friend of the natural environment Mother Earth of more friends like he was in need
For a better World to live in he helped plant the seed
Mother Earth and Nature in Darcy a good friend has lost
His passing from life to the natural environment has come at a cost
To the Earth that does feed us good friends like he was are few
And this is not saying anything that is new
Hope his passing from life for him was not a painful release
The good man Darcy Duggan he now is at peace
A true friend of Nature of him one can say
That the World for his passing is worse off today.
