To Another Time

On who is a poet not all literary experts agree

On this most have their opinions is how it seems to be 

Though most literary critics on one thing agree on

That the days of rhymers and rhyming poetry are in the long gone

Though no shortage of rhymers in the World of today

They are of the literary out of fashion it would seem true to say

It would seem in literature that rhymers and rhyme

In the twenty first century have lost out to time

We are in the age of the non rhyming poet

In their literary genre's seen as worthy of note

The praises of blank verse and blank verse poets the literary experts only do sing

In twenty first century literature they are the in thing

And as for the people who only write in rhyme

They are seen as belonging to another time.
