Where the town's deceased are at peace they do lay
But we owe them for the prosperity we enjoy today
The women and men for future generations who paved the way
Though for them there never was a loud hooray
The unsung heroines and heroes of their side of the town
They lived and they died as strangers to renown
To live as honest and hard working not one's ticket to fame
The honourable town's deceased far too many to name
They did not grow famous and wealthy they just grew old and grey
Some of their descendants in the town today
The unsung deceased great people indeed
Of the town's present prosperity they sowed the seed
Sadly to the unsung they do belong
Though they ought to be honoured in story and song.
