We All Are So Different

His hair silver grey that years ago was light brown
And he has never seen the World  beyond his hometown
Married to his teenage sweetheart for thirty five years his wife
The stay at home fellow is happy in his life
Far from her hometown in a city in the World out there
Their daughter in her early thirties is married with two young daughters she has found love and happiness elsewhere
Unlike her parents at home she did not stay
To them quite different of her one might say
She is happy in her adoptive home from her first hometown far away
Though she has planned a visit home with her husband and children in some future day
On the phone to mum and dad she often does speak
She does make it a point to ring them every week
Her mum and dad in their late fifties in their hometown together will grow old and die
That in our ways we all are so different is not a lie.
