In The Age Of The Self

 In the twenty first century self promotion is an in thing

And many their own praises do love to sing

In the Human World narcissism is on the rise

Their warped sense of self love some do not even try to disguise

The humble are few or so it does seem

And are looked on by many as those with a sense of low self esteem

We are in the age of the self in the twenty first century

And with many so many it is all about the me

A Human World where billions with each other compete

Where people who are down to earth are becoming harder to meet

Since others they feel no desire to impress 

They have opted out of the race to success

A World where many of singing their own praises never seem to tire

And the wealthy and famous the impressionable masses only admire.
