On a pleasant evening in December just before sundown
The drummers are drumming in the park of the town
Perfect weather for drumming around eighteen degrees
And the sound they create is carrying in the breeze
Every Friday evening in Summer in the park off of the street
For their weekly drumming session the drummers club do meet
The sound of their rhythm quite pleasant to hear
That they are well practiced at drumming is obviously clear
Over the years the numbers of drummers in the town have not grown
But they enjoy their hobby to each their own
And beating of the drums can be soothing to the troubled mind
And what makes drummers interesting there are few of their kind
In the quiet of the twilight with night closing in
The beating of their drums make for a pleasant din.
