 Goodbye 2020 you go without a tear

For many you have been a very bad year

You left your trail of sickness, grief and death in C O V I D -19

No Land in the World to where it has not been

Goodbye 2020 your passing cause no regret

Though you are one many will never forget

For all of the wrong reasons memories of you will live on

And many relieved that to history you have gone

Goodbye 2020 you are of the past

And with only a few any good memory of you will last

To so much sickness, grief and death you did give rise

And few will remember you with tears in their eyes

Few good stories of you we will read of or hear

You brought to the Human World suffering, death and fear

So few people of you will have any nice thing to say

And one can only hope for the better at the birth of 2021 today

For you 2020 a final farewell 

You have been a year for many of Earthly Hell

Due to C O V I D-19 bad memories of you will live on

And many will feel happy to see you have gone.
