Tower Hill Of The Peek Wurrong

Home to koala and yellow tailed black cockatoo
And echidna, emu, long billed corella, wallaby and grey kangaroo
Once spiritual home to the tribe known as the Peek Wurrong
Tower Hill in south west Victoria  that inspires the makers of  story and song
From the Town of Koroit a two kilometres walk, cycle, run or drive
To the inactive volcanic valley where legend survive
Of the Peek Wurrong people who in this spiritual place had their corroborees
Going back in time to a few centuries
Tower Hill an attraction to visitors from places near and far away
On the narrow road around the volcanic valley they drive every day
Nowadays there you may hear the call of a corella or a yellow tailed black cockatoo
But there you will never hear the sound of a didgeridoo
Where the legend of the Peek Wurrong does live on in time
Today they are remembered in song, story and rhyme.
