There are rhymers in every village and city and town
Who live as they will die as strangers to literary renown
But rhymers write rhymes not for money or fame
Or of one day becoming a great literary name
In the twenty first century the literary critics never rate any rhymer as a poet
And not to be looked on as worthy of literary note
That rhymers are many and poets are few
Is not saying anything that is in any way that is new
In the age of the novelists poets are not looked on as to the literary fore
In a time when of writers of all genres there has never been more
Though of rhymers there are many and rhyme is living on
The days of the rhymers are in the long gone
That time with it brings changes as a truism remain
In the case of rhymers it's own self does explain.
