Ninety six years of living the hair on his balding head silver grey
For one of his age he looks fit and healthy and is doing quite okay
You ask him why he has aged so well with a laugh he does say
One reason for this i do laugh every day
And laughter as an antidote to worry is a wonderful thing
And happiness to the mind it never does fail to bring
That it is the best of good medicine remains as ever true
A gift of joy to humanity for to give it what is only it's due
Laughing Johnny does laugh every day of the year
That he is one who does love life is obviously clear
In his late nineties without an ache or pain
Young at heart he somehow seems to remain
Johnny is one who does laugh every day
And he says that laughter keeps worries at bay.
