A Last Night And Day

You may be wealthy and famous and known Worldwide
And to most of the people of your Country a sense of pride
But with your successes do not get carried away
For you too like all others there will be a last night and day
You may be a person many do admire
And of singing your praises never seem to tire
But at the end of life's journey you too to the scythe of Life's Reaper will fall
Life too will end for you as it will for us all
It is hard to stay humble when you have admirers in every city and town
And you are celebrated as one of great wealth and renown
Your praises the admiring masses do sing
Fame it can be such an ego boosting thing
But with your success do not get carried away
