In spirit she is willing though she has grown physically weak
Of end of life and death to her do not speak
She says i love life why should i wish to die
If i did tell you differently this would be a lie
One who does not have children to carry her genes in life
For many years to an abusive husband a devoted wife
Until eventually time it did become his foe
And he breathed his last a few decades ago
His passing from life did not reduce her to tears
She could not grieve for one who had abused her for years
On her ninety fifth year her better physical days long gone
But her great love of life inspires her to live on
She says i love life and i have no wish to die
If i did tell you differently this would be a lie.
