A November Day In Illowa

The sun has not shone much on Illowa today
Behind the grey clouds it is hidden away
A weather temperature for the day of seventeen degrees
And in the cool air no buzzing of bush flies or bees
The paddocks of Illowa are looking so green
Quite as heaalthy looking as they have ever been
There is so much nourishment for the Earth in the Spring rain
With such weather anybody ought not to complain
The songs of the blackbirds is carrying in the coastal breeze
That soughs in the bushes and the leafy trees
Towards the end of Spring and Summer quite near
November in Illowa can be a changeable time of year
Compared to many parts of Australia ravaged by fires and drought
Illowa is a haven of the far coastal south.
