Of Changes In Millstreet

On where old Clara Mountain as ever looks down
The changes keep on happening in Millstreet Town
Of what used to be a  Parish of one culture and race
Of Late has become known as a multicultural place
Though sportswise some things there seems not to have changed at all
Gaelic games remain the most talked of hurling and football
But all over Ireland it remains the same
Gaelic sports does take precedent over every other game
That time does bring change only happens to be so
But the old fields i knew and loved many Seasons ago
Perhaps would look much as they were today
Those untouched by human progress at least would anyway
But in Millstreet Town the changes keep happening as we are told
Perhaps change for the better from the days of old.
