Self confidence deflating this thing known as self doubt
Of any sort of success it seems to count you out
It tells you that you cannot win though your best you may do
And makes you believe that all others are superior to you
This thing that is known as self doubt will never be your friend
Though you may argue with it your argument you will lose in the end
Against it's sheer persuasiveness you do not have a defense
For to think you can defeat it you should have better sense
This thing that is know as self doubt to your feelings is a thief
It never fails to steal from you your self confidence and self belief
It makes you believe you are inferior to everyone in the town
And it never comes to your aid when you are feeling down
Of the feeling you are not good enough in your mind it plants the seed
And it never comes to your assistance in your moments of need.
