We All Cannot Be Winners

The heroines and heroes the masses create
And it is not any poor person they celebrate
The wealthy and elite sportspeople are the talk of every town
Few do wish to know of the financially down

The wealthy entertainers and those good at sports among the most admired of all
The good living and honest ordinary citizen few wish to recall
If she or he have little in the way of money and work  hard for every pay
They will never become the person of the day

Most people have their heroines and heroes for to admire
And of singing their praises never seem to tire
One of the things that have not changed in the annals of human history
This is how it was and it is and how it always will be

We all cannot be winners one has to suppose
But the one with  few friends also do have few foes
And the ordinary citizen will never become the woman or man of the day
Since humanity is not designed for to work in this way.
