A Quiet And Shy Person

In his bed at night tears from his eyes down his face often flow

Of how it feels like to feel sad he is one who does know

He has lived with clinical depression for many years

An illness that cannot be cured by the shedding of tears

On doctor prescribed medication since before his physical prime

He is one who has suffered for quite a long time

He does not have children or a partner or wife

One with little for to celebrate in his life

In his two bedroom unit he lives on his own

A quiet and shy person to few he is known

One who does work hard for his livelihood pay

It has been years since he knew of a happy day

On doctor prescribed medication he often feels down

One of the loneliesst people on his side of the town

Though he has never been homeless or have had to sleep rough

One cannot say in life he has not known it tough

Quite an honourable person of him one can say

He minds his own business and lives in his own way

In his early fifties his best physical years long gone

But his love of life helps him for to live on.
