Too few of us of our own shortcomings seem aware
When i criticize the flaws in others i do see
I am overlooking the blemishes that are living in me
For to make the Human World a better World to live in
With my own self i have got to begin
It is not the good i do for myself but for others i do
But in this respect what applies to me also applies to you
It is so easy in words for to put others down
The judgmental are not rare in any village, city or town
And these are the people some choose to admire
Though self betterment in others they do not inspire
It is the non judgmental and selfless in their own kind way
Who help people in need of helping every day
Without the expectation of recognition or pay
For the betterment of humanity their own part they does play
Too few of us the good in others do not wish to see
And in our thinking on some do seem quite ordinary
But those who criticize those doing it tough in some of their ways are small
For a fair go for some is not a fair go for all.
