But when it comes to life and knowledge quite a lot he does know
For himself he never has that much to say
He listens whilst others do waffle away
Though from time to time he does have a few drinks at the local pub
He is not a member of any community club
In his early sixties well past his physical best day
The hair on his balding head is silver grey
A man who works hard for his take home pay
Nothing easy in life ever does come his way
Any great sporting moments do not ask him to recall
As sport does not seem to interest him at all
He is one who has known of sorrow in his life
Years ago in a motor car accident he lost his three year old daughter and her mother his wife
He never re-partnered or remarried and never again became a dad
His memories are mixed of the good and the bad
A man who in his interests is different to most
Yet of his wealth of knowledge he never does boast
To his higher self one who tries to live true
He is a good person for to give him his due.
