When others of you do have nice things to say
It is even as good for your self esteem as a raise in your pay
It makes you believe in life things are going your way
But those who instil in you some doubt of your self worth in your mind
By saying of you words that are unkind
Are not helping you in your self belief it does seem
And are not doing anything for your sense of self esteem
The need for to be loved is such a natural thing
A sense of self worth to the praised one it never fails for to bring
But the one in her or his words who deliberately puts you down
Will never become your best friend of the town
Yes it never does fail to bring joy to your day
When others of you do have nice things to say.
