Without the rewards of monetary pay
I have penned so many of them over decades of time
Just one of those people who loves writing rhyme
I have no wish for mine to become a well known literary name
And i feel no dessire for any sort of fame
Three score and thirteen years time catching up on me
I wrote my first rhymes in nineteen seventy three
I loved reading them when i was a boy
And writing them nowadays i thoroughly enjoy
One who will never know of literary note
I just leave it to others their title of poet
My best days in life in the forever gone
But for as long as i can do i will keep rhyming on.
