The moments in your life you have lived to regret
Memories of guilt of words spoken that in time does last
We cannot change but only can learn from the past
Words that cost you a good friendship and relationship that ended in tears
The regret of your error has lived in you for years
Too late to realize to a dear former friend you had not been nice
For ill chosen words to pay there is always a price
And for this in guilt of mind you does pay
A guilt that perhaps will be with you until your last living day
At the time sorry you could not bring yourself for to say
For to humble yourself pride did get in your way
Regret at words spoken that in you does stay
